The forest of Chandaka is spread across an area of 175.79 sq kms. Chandaka Dampara wildlife Sanctuary is a treasure house of rich biodiversity is widely acknowledged for successful conservation of Elephant. The sanctuary is a rich blend of lush green mixed forest, tall grasses, green meadows and wild-life. At Chandaka you can engage in activities like jungle safari, cycling, birding, boating and trekking. Singing birds, barking deer, elephants, chital, wild pig, mouse deer, Indian wolf, and peacock are some of the species which can be easily spotted in the sanctuary.
