Chilika Lake, Odisha 

The largest brackish salt water lagoon in India is a wintering ground for a large no. of migratory birds and is a home to a number of threatened species of plants and animals. The lake offers large fishery resources and sustains the livelihood of fisher- folks. Chilika lake offers rich-biodiversity and being important from socio- economic perspective it was designated as the first Indian wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention as it offers rich bio-diversity.

‘Rajhans Nature camp’ offers 10 lake facing elegant tented accommodation on Rajhans island amidst between chilka lake and Bay of Bengal. Connectivity: Nearest airport is at Bhubaneswar (95kms), nearest railway station is located at Balugaon which is 80 kms from Bhubaneswar and 140 kms from puri and offer regular trains to major cities of the country. Balugaon is well-connected by road. Satpada is 110 kms from Bhubaneswar and 50 kms from Puri.
